A while back, I briefly toyed with the idea of going without a landline. It’s an alluring prospect, and strikes me as satisfyingly post-modern. But one thing held me back: my home security system, which relied on a landline to connect it to central monitoring. So even though I went through a brief affair with Vonage until Verizon FiOS Triple Play pulled me back in, I had to keep a limited line connected to the house for our security system. Faulty Alarm System Bypassed, Toyot...A friend's van broke down right outside my shop, how convienent!
Circumventing Alarm System...*PLEASE READ* The purpose of this video is to show how easily some alarm systems can be bypassed. Some of you may think that it's a stupid idea to reveal vulnerabilities of security systems, but I believe it's better that everyone knows - not just the burglars. Hopefully this will encourage manufacturers to further improve their products and also help end-users to better understand what they want from their system. I would like to hear comments from other wireless alarm system owners! In my mind, alarm systems have two missions: 1. Local alarm (when the user returns, he can - by looking at the system - notice that an alarm has occurred while he was away) 2. Remote alarm (notifying predefined persons through SMS for example) This technique prevents both from happening. I tried this with a PIR detector too. This is just one example of how to circumvent alarm systems. There are others too, for both wireless and wired. The reason why I decided to upload this, was because it really is so ridiculously easy that anyone can do it, and it has almost no risk involved. This particular system is approved by my local insurance companys.

fire alarm system walk test...A demo of the walk test function on the Fire-Lite MS-4424B. This is also the 1st video showing what'll bw installed in my home fire alarm system. In this video you'll see one of my new Gentex Commander-3s set to low volume electromechanical code-3 with it's horn taped to keep the volume reasonable (it's extreamly loud without it, even on low volume). The strobe is set at 60cd, The pull's a Simplex 4251-20. also tested a BRK 2824 photo smoke detector using the factory supplied tester, and not tested, a System Sensor 1451 ion smoke head on a B401B 2 wire base, which I'm not too sure the head works properly (I'm thinking about getting a new head for that base). not shown which will be added onto the system, is a Wheelock RS241575 (the fimilar current red "fire" above and below the strobe refered to offten as the RSS). NOTE: EVERYTHING SEEN IS OUT OF MY PERSONAL FIRE ALARM COLLECTION AND NOT HOOKED UP TO A PUBLIC FIRE ALARM SYSTEM IN ANY WAY. WHAT YOU SEE IN THIS VIDEO IS NOT INSTRUCTIONS FOR TRYING THIS ON A PUBLIC FIRE ALARM SYSTEM. I NOR YOUTUBE WILL BE RESPONSIBLE IS YOU'RE DUMB ENOUGH TO TRY THIS.
